Tuesday Jam Hosted by Dana Anderson

Earning her Bachelor of Music degree from MacEwan University in 2020, Dana held a four year tenure as the lead alto player of the MacEwan Big Band I and has since played in various Yardbird Suite Jazz Orchestras, the Don Berner Big Band, River City Big Band, as well as the MacEwan Faculty, Student, and Alumni Big Band. She spends her days with The Bandstand as an instrument repair technician, otherwise you can find her teaching saxophone or playing in various jazz, Latin, and pop groups around the city. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of styles and artists including Branford Marsalis, Kenny Garrett, and Jacob Collier, Dana aims to capture emotion and turn it into sound as a way to connect with listeners on an interpersonal level.

About Tuesday Night Jam Sessions

Join us for our live Tuesday Jam hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.

Musicians who want to participate in the Jam can purchase a “Jam Participant” ticket at a reduced cost. All Jam Participants need to register at the door upon entry to the event.
