A child prodigy of krump, the fierce urban dance form that emerged in Los Angeles at the turn of the millennium, young Montrealer Adeline Kerry Cruz unleashes all the energy of her 11 years in a stunning first solo. With the help of her mentor, krumper JR Maddripp, she occupies the stage with astonishing ease, transported by the feverish score of Chloé Thévenin, a pillar of the French electro scene. She then passes the baton to Siaska Chareyre, an accomplished dancer with a brilliant command of contemporary dance styles and codes. Each carves her own path, delivering a powerful performance of impressively authentic dance. Silent Legacy weaves the invisible threads that connect these two uninhibited dancers from different cultures and generations. Fascinating.
Her work has won numerous awards and distinctions: Prix de la révélation chorégraphique from the Syndicat de la critique française in 2009, Prix Jardin d'Europe in 2010, Chevalier de l'ordre des arts et des lettres in 2015.
