The love between Robert and Clara Schumann inspired some of their most beautiful compositions. In the first of her Three Romances, Clara quotes Robert, who in turn conveys his profound passion in the second movement of his Piano Trio no. 3. Readings of letters exchanged by the iconic couple punctuate this concert celebrating close relationships and deep emotion.
