From acclaimed creators Amiel Gladstone and Veda Hille comes For Frances when it’s raining, a mesmerizing new musical adapted from Kathryn Davis’s acclaimed novel The Girl Who Trod on a Loaf. Blending Davis’s surreal, evocative storytelling with Hille and Gladstone’s genre-bending score and inventive theatricality, the show follows a young singer whose small town world tilts into the strange and sublime when a passionate composer appears and sends her spiralling into an uncanny realm. Darkly funny, deeply haunting, and musically thrilling, this is a bold exploration of art, ambition, and the stories we inherit. Can music save our lives?
