Luna Li

Luna Li is a world unto itself. Hyperlush and inclusive by design, her dream pop is the sound of an everyday symphony. 

Born Hannah Bussiere Kim, the Korean-Canadian, Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist songwriter, composer and producer got her start during the pandemic. Under the name Luna Li, she began self-recording instrumental interludes as a radical form of care. Her self-recorded “jams” went viral, racking up over 100 million streams and producing a fiercely loyal following. Her resulting self-titled EP garnered widespread acclaim, leading to coverage in Fashion, Paper Magazine, i-D and opportunities to open for artists such as Japanese Breakfast and beebadoobee. 

Li’s 2022 debut record Duality was celebrated for its ability to balance introspection and fantasy, leading to Li being selected as one of NME’s Top 100 Emerging Artists. Her 2024 sophomore effort, When A Thought Grows Wings, was praised for its “fearless optimism… a captivating masterclass in abiding with the self, making space for one’s mind and honouring its generative force,” (Exclaim!) while also showing off her chops on guitar, harp, and flute.
