<p>Chaque année, durant les Fêtes, le public montréalais se réunit pour <i>Casse-Noisette</i>, chorégraphié par le Québécois Fernand Nault sur la brillante partition de Piotr Tchaïkovski.</p>

<p>Inspiré du conte fantastique d’E.T.A. Hoffmann, ce ballet suit Clara, une jeune fille douce et déterminée, qui, le soir de Noël, se retrouve plongée dans une bataille opposant des soldats de plomb à des rats menaçants. Par un tour de magie, son casse-noisette, reçu en cadeau de Noël, s’anime et vient à son secours avant de l’entraîner dans un monde féérique.</p>
<p>De la quiétude glaciale du Royaume des neiges à la délicatesse scintillante de la Fée Dragée dans le Royaume des friandises, la mise en scène de Fernand Nault insuffle une chaleur profondément humaine à la poésie intemporelle du ballet classique.
